Late summer and early fall are such a wonderful time of year for portraits! Apparently some of you think so too. I've been booked solid from September until nearly the end of October on weekends! Still looking to squeeze in a portrait session? Your best bet might be mid-week if you'd like to have Cedarbrook Studio take photos for you. Otherwise I do know some perfectly capable and able photographer friends nearby that I could recommend.
Someone asked me the other day about editing and I figured I would take a moment to talk about the way I edit. I use a program called "Lightroom" which is the sister product to Photoshop. I have used Photoshop somewhat but I really do prefer Lightroom. I like to do light editing, but I really don't like to over-do it. I generally remove blemishes, wrinkles, dark circles, things of that sort but I figure it is easy to over-edit and what is the point if the picture doesn't really look like you? I do use a few 'presets' thru Lightroom for more dramatic images but generally I just hand edit each photo myself, to my style. It generally takes me about 2 hours to edit for one regular session.
My style might not be for everyone, but that is the beauty of 'art' through my eyes!
